Golf Movement Assesment
In the past, the golf swing was taught to be initiated from the shoulders and upper body, down to the golf club contacting the ball.
Now, because of the advantages of greater speed, power, and consistency, it is a bottom-up approach. This means that the golfer is taught to generate force from the ground up, making the legs and hips the greatest force generators. The shoulders and club are driven more passively, rapidly picking up speed like the end of a whip making its approach towards the ball.
The golf swing has become a highly athletic and complex movement, requiring proper biomechanics from head to toe.
Our golf movement assessment is a fast and efficient way to break the golf swing down to its component parts.
This assessment is specifically designed to identify the biomechanical deficiencies that you may have (some of which you may be unaware). These deficiencies impede your golf swing and can possibly cause injury. You must first be able to move like a pro to swing like a pro!
What To Expect
During the golf movement assessment, you’ll be observed performing a 16-point assessment specific to the golf swing.
The assessment will quickly shed light on how you move, balance, and stabilize your body. Based on the different data points collected, you will be given a treatment and exercise plan to best achieve the movement norms that most professional golfers commonly share.

The benefits of working with a medical professional who has an understanding of golf injury mechanisms include:
- Assessing risk factors contributing to your injury
- Assessing the right pattern of mobility and stability that the body requires to reduce repetitive stress and prevent injury while performing the golf swing
- Experiencing targeted treatment strategies for overcoming your injury and/or preventing re-injury
